| Hiya! I'm back! Fresh from a "writing for the web" course, I'm back to keep you posted on things going on in my life. Yes, I'm still playing volleyball, although not much; I've joined a golf group, plus some friends and I are hosting a fun tourney with our volleyball buddies this Sunday. We'll be at Pearl Country Club in Pearl City. We've had tons of guests from Colorado and Vancouver. It has been a blast! I've joined the Lions International, the Hawaii Kai Club, and am the Historian this year, as well as on the Membership Committee. I'm doing lots of digital scrapbooking, and have gained tons of weight from too much eating good food! Send me an e-mail. Tell me what's happening with you! BTW, hubby changed jobs 3 weeks ago. Hurray! It means we stay in Hawaii a while longer; still haven't found a house yet. Oh yeah, and I'm still trying to ride my motorcycle. We had to replace the battery recently (after 10 years!), and now it needs fresh gas. I am now able to ride it out of the neighborhood about 1 mile. Ha ha! We're going to be in Vegas to celebrate the big 5-0, so if you can join us, please let me know. My e-mail remains the same. | | |
| Happy new year and aloha! Thought I'd better get my best wishes in to you early, and start 2008 off right, since I was behind in so many things in 2007! The past year has been great, with trips to South Africa, Vancouver, Fort Collins, and Pennsylvania, as well as outer island trips. The year just flew by! We look forward to 2008, with not so many trips, hopefully buying a house, and getting settled in to our lives in paradise. Loyal's job continues to go well, Peggy still loves working from home, and yes, Peggy is playing volleyball and some golf. When you have the time, drop us a line at peggy1959@aol.com. If you're in to scrapbooking, I've become a consultant for Heritage Makers, a digital, online scrapbooking company. I love it! http://www.oyamascrapbooking.com. | | |
| Hiya! Sorry I haven't written for quite a while, but things have been very hectic. Since August, I've gone to Vegas, Fort Collins (work visit), Vancouver (reunion), and Allentown (wedding). We've also moved to another rental home, I've made 9 digital scrapbooks, and we're still unpacking from the move, and our first guest for the tourist season is coming to the house on Sunday. I'm playing volleyball 2-3 times a week, 0 golf, and have run in two 5K races (with very poor times!) I haven't been working out, have been having serious internet problems, and have gained weight! But while life is busy, I'm still enjoying living in Hawaii, and having fun with the pool that's in our backyard. I'm going to start gearing up with the digital scrapbooking and being a consultant. Women's volleyball is also gearing up for the season, and we're practising now, and I'm playing in some fun tourneys with an assortment of ladies. Gotta get ready for volleyball tonight. More again later. | | |
| Howzit! (Howdy/aloha/hello in local speak) I'm very excited to tell you I've become a Heritage Makers consultant, and am now in to digital scrapbooking! It's really cool and fast, and you can quickly make a scrapbook that gets professionally bound as a book. I put together my first, simple book about 2 weeks ago, and it just arrived via courier today! If you have a lot of photos that you want to give to someone, but don't have the time to make a scrapbook, then this method is perfect for you! It's an online system where you can use pre-made templates to slide your photos into, and you can add your own descriptions. I think it's a great gift idea for loved ones' birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. I recently created a scrapbook of half our South Africa trip, and hope to receive the hard copy by mid- to late August from the publisher. You can also make neat calendars for Christmas gifts, so you might want to start thinking about that now. You can live anywhere, and I can help you get set up, and we can have lots of phone calls to talk about how it works. Eventually, I'll also learn how to demo stuff on a shared website. If you're interested, as a starter, please check out http://www.oyamascrapbooking.com, which is my consultant's website. I'm going to be unavailable until Wed, Aug, 8th, but please e-mail me at peggy1959@aol.com, if you are interested, and I can get you set up after the 8th. Aloha! :) | | |
| Hi there! Life is going well in paradise, although we haven't found a house yet. Loyal keeps busy, and I'm having fun playing volleyball, and getting some scrapbooking done. I've become a consultant for Heritage Makers digital scrapbooking, and will be moving to electronic scrapbooking very soon. I'll be in FC for a while in August, and am looking forward to catching up with friends, and meeting new co-workers. Gene & Joe's birthday party went well at Yardhouse, and the Mana-sponsored co-ed tourney was lots of fun! Good news we've heard is Frank D., as well as Clyde I. are getting married. Bon season is in full swing, and I've been to two already this year. Next time, I'll wear a yukata. The jogging and weights are not going well, with me working out only a couple of times. It's not looking good for the September half-marathon. Enough for now. C'ya! | | |
